Call For Presenters
Join us for the Region 6 Technology & Digital Learning Conference, “Power Up!”. The annual conference will be held in Huntsville in the ESC Professional Development Center on July 8 & 9, 2014. We invite you to share your knowledge and expertise with fellow educators by presenting a workshop at the conference.
About the Selection Process:
Individuals representing all academic disciplines and levels in the educational system and all phases of technology education are welcome to submit proposals. Sessions will be chosen based on their interest to convention attendees and relevance to current trends and best practices.
All proposals will be carefully reviewed and selected by the Technology Conference committee. Applicants will receive acceptance or regret notifications in mid May 2014.
We request all presenters and co-presenters register for the conference by May 15th. If registration is not complete by this deadline, the accepted presentation may be cancelled. Each presenter is expected to provide an electronic copy of his/her handout and/or presentation in advance. These will be posted on the Technology Conference website with all rights reserved to the author.
About the Sessions
Presentation sessions are 45-minutes or 90-minutes and consist of a presentation with handouts and time for interaction among the attendees and presenter(s). Presenters are encouraged to share proven strategies for successful curriculum integration from personal experience and research projects related to technology-based instruction. Presenters/co-presenters must use Region 6 presentation computers.
Panel Presentations consist of three to five people (including the submitting and facilitating presenter), present their views on a common theme, issue, or question, and then discusses them with the audience. This setting is intended to provide attendees an opportunity to hear about specific topic(s) presented by several knowledgeable facilitators where each presenter will discuss his or her expert professional view on the topic at hand allowing the participants to further understand and evaluate the topics being discussed. Panels are 90-minutes in length.
These 45-minute sessions are presented by exhibiting companies to further explore the products and services available on the show floor in an in-depth, informative, and non-sales atmosphere.
